TRADITIONAL SILENT RETREAT PHOTOPOST

The Traditional silent retreat at the Franciscan retreat house was a huge success!

We were led by three devout priests who led the retreatants with insightful talks on the spiritual life.

Father Cassian DiRocco began the retreat with a beautiful and devout Holy Mass (the first Traditional Mass at the retreat house ever) and then a brilliant talk on the Spiritual life after a delicious meatless meal.

On Saturday, Father Daniel Mould FSSP began the day with an early morning mass and then a great talk on Confession and a thorough Examination of Conscience. Confessions followed, then a communal meal with the men.

Father John Gallas led the retreat on Saturday afternoon with moving talks on the importance of forgiveness, the fruits of the Holy Ghost, devotion to Mary and many other captivating topics.

The men were silent during the entirety of the retreat and remain interested and devoted to completing a successful retreat. There was plenty of time for rest, reflection and touring the grounds. The meals were amazing, especially the huge brunch with  beer which brought the retreat to a successful conclusion.

We are most grateful to the priests and over 50 men (unfortunately we had to keep it around 40 because of the constraints of space) who asked to sign up for the Traditional silent retreat. Deo gratias!
